Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently inaugurated the book “Geeta Bharti” by Muslim writer Mustafa Arif from Ujjain. Praising the author’s efforts, Yadav highlighted the book’s role in fostering social harmony and mutual understanding among communities. He emphasized the universal teachings of the Bhagavad Gita that transcend religious boundaries.
Author Mustafa Arif, expressing gratitude for the Chief Minister’s support, aimed with “Geeta Bharti” to bridge cultural gaps and make the Gita’s teachings more accessible. Arif stressed that spiritual knowledge should be shared across humanity, not limited to any specific religion.
At the event, Arif shared his inspiration behind the book, linking the importance of ‘Dharm’ and ‘Karm’ in all religions. He explained how his journey from composing verses on the Holy Quran led him to the philosophy of ‘Karma’ in the Bhagavad Gita. Arif’s work, comprising 786 Hindi muktaks based on the Gita’s Sanskrit shlokas, aimed to promote unity in diversity and India’s cultural heritage.
The release of “Geeta Bharti” symbolizes India’s pluralistic ethos, showcasing literature as a unifying force between different faiths and cultures. It reinforces the idea of unity in diversity, reflecting the country’s rich tradition of cultural exchange and mutual respect.
