Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav distributed funds for the “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana” in Khandwa district. Over 1.25 crore women received Rs 1,500 each in a digital transfer, amounting to Rs 1,836 crore. The scheme aims to boost economic independence and household well-being for women in the state.
The Ladli Behna Yojana, a popular state initiative, provides monthly financial aid to eligible women. With a monthly payout of Rs 1,500 per beneficiary, the program supports families facing rising living expenses. CM Mohan Yadav celebrated the occasion on Facebook, emphasizing the scheme’s impact on women’s lives.
The government has now disbursed a total of Rs 52,304 crore to women beneficiaries through 33 installments. This financial commitment underscores the administration’s focus on gender equality and grassroots empowerment. The scheme’s popularity was evident at the event in Pandhana, drawing large crowds and receiving gratitude from beneficiaries for the timely assistance.
In a separate event in Burhanpur district, the Chief Minister inaugurated development projects worth Rs 696 crore. These projects span infrastructure, public amenities, agriculture, and other sectors, aiming to boost the district’s overall progress. CM Yadav announced plans for an agriculture-based industry conclave and a kirtan center for the Bairagi community in the district.
