Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh emphasized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led state government’s commitment to conserving heritage sites and enhancing religious tourism. He mentioned the progress on 13 significant projects at key religious spots, such as ‘Mahakal Lok’ in Ujjain and ‘Chitrakoot Dham’ in Satna, among others. Yadav inaugurated a religious project worth Rs 17.13 crore at the Bhairavnath temple in Rewa, underscoring the government’s efforts to transform Chitrakoot with planned development works worth Rs 3,000 crore.
Yadav also announced the establishment of a new 100-acre industrial area in Gurh to generate employment opportunities for the youth. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the expansion of Shyam Shah Medical College in Rewa, which will increase the hospital’s capacity to over 2,400 beds. The Chief Minister stressed the state’s focus on expanding accessible and modern healthcare services, including setting up a cancer unit at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital with an investment of Rs 322 crore.
Highlighting the importance of both rural and urban areas in the state’s development, Yadav disclosed plans to establish 50 medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh within the next two years. This initiative aims to add over 10,000 new doctors annually to bolster the healthcare system. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla and other BJP MLAs from the district were present at the events.
