Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched a joint capacity-building training program with the National Security Guard (NSG) and the state police at Lal Parade Ground. The program includes a Detailed Project Report worth Rs 200 crore for modernizing the Counter Terrorist Group (CTG) and establishing a training center for emergency disaster management and counter-terror operations in Tumda village.
The training program, scheduled from April 7 to May 4, 2026, aims to enhance the operational readiness of state police personnel, including the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and CTG, in dealing with modern security threats. Black Cat commandos from NSG demonstrated their skills during a mock terrorist attack simulation, showcasing rapid response protocols, counter-assault tactics, and aerial maneuvers.
Chief Minister Yadav praised the commandos for their valor and emphasized the importance of rigorous training to prepare security forces for various challenges. He highlighted the role of the NSG in ensuring national security and expressed confidence in the safety of citizens as long as security forces remain vigilant.
Director General of Police Kailash Makwana mentioned that the training will cover key disciplines like counter-attack operations over the next month. The event began with a ceremonial welcome by the Police Band, attended by senior police officials and NSG personnel.
