Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav honored Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, hailing him as a source of inspiration for the youth and a pivotal figure in nation-building. Yadav took part in a ‘Surya Namaskar’ event at a government school in Bhopal to commemorate the occasion.
Swami Vivekananda, known for guiding youth towards global welfare through spiritual energy and philosophy, was lauded by Yadav for his role in motivating young people to contribute to the progress of the nation. The Chief Minister expressed his reverence for Vivekananda and emphasized the importance of his teachings.
Following the ‘Surya Namaskar’ and Pranayam activities, Chief Minister Yadav addressed the Youth Diwas program, expressing concerns about the escalating issue of drug addiction among the state’s youth. He urged students to steer clear of drug abuse to secure a brighter future, highlighting the detrimental impact of substance abuse on societal values and family structures.
Madhya Pradesh’s PWD Minister Rakesh Singh, School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh, and local BJP MLA Bhagwandas Sabani also joined the ‘Surya Namaskar’ event. The state government, in observance of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary as “Youth Diwas,” organized similar programs in both government and private schools, with district officials and public representatives participating.
The School Education Department instructed students from Class 6 to 12, along with parents and teachers, to partake in the ‘Surya Namaskar’ program. District administrations were tasked with ensuring the smooth execution of the event in all schools within their jurisdictions.
