The Madhya Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, will mark the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’ fortnight from April 10 to April 25. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the Women’s Reservation Act and honor women’s leadership and contributions in diverse fields. The state plans to host conferences, felicitate women achievers, and conduct empowerment marches across constituencies.
To engage the youth, a ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Wall’ will be set up for artistic expressions. Special Gram Sabhas will be organized on April 14, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, to discuss the Women’s Reservation Act. The campaign includes seminars, workshops, and activities involving Self-Help Groups and scheme beneficiaries to promote women’s economic participation and empowerment.
Madhya Pradesh’s efforts also focus on supporting women entrepreneurs through policies like the Start-up Policy and MSME Development Policy 2025. These policies offer incentives and financial assistance to encourage women-led businesses. The state’s initiatives underscore its commitment to women’s empowerment and contribute to building a self-reliant India.
