Tatkare expressed gratitude, stating that the victory was a tribute to Ajit Pawar’s dedication and service to the people. The NCP’s win in the local body elections was dedicated to Ajit Pawar’s relentless efforts for the welfare of the public.
Commenting on the election outcome, Tatkare emphasized Ajit Pawar’s lifelong commitment to grassroots development. He underlined the significance of the public’s trust in Ajit Pawar’s vision and leadership, pledging to carry forward his legacy with increased responsibility. The victory in the local elections marked a pivotal moment following Ajit Pawar’s passing, sparking celebrations among NCP supporters. The state revenue minister and BJP representative for local body elections, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, associated the victory with the rural population’s support for the BJP-led coalition. Bawankule credited the success to the “double-engine government” and highlighted the BJP’s prominent position in Maharashtra.
Bawankule projected the BJP’s dominance in Maharashtra, particularly in Zilla Parishads, attributing it to the government’s developmental initiatives. He pointed out the decline of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, citing a shift in voter priorities towards development. Bawankule criticized the Congress for a negative campaign that led to their rejection by the public and suggested a lack of effective guidance from Sharad Pawar within the MVA.
