In a groundbreaking move for healthcare in Maharashtra, Pune’s Noble Hospitals and Research Centre has become the first to install the SSI Mantra 3 Robotic System, a cutting-edge, made-in-India robotic surgery machine. This technological leap will revolutionize surgery by improving precision, reducing recovery times, and offering patients a minimally invasive option for various complex medical procedures.

The SSI Mantra 3 Robotic System features five robotic arms that provide unparalleled precision, combined with a 3D HD headset and a vision cart offering 4K imaging for enhanced visibility. The system is designed to perform a wide array of surgeries, including general, cardiothoracic, urology, and gynecology surgeries, with unmatched accuracy.

The launch event was graced by renowned Marathi actor Prasad Oak alongside key medical professionals such as Dr. Dileep Mane, Chairman of Noble Hospitals, and other prominent doctors. The system’s introduction is being hailed as a significant step forward in the field of surgery, offering faster recovery, fewer complications, and better outcomes for patients.

The first surgery using this robotic system was successfully completed on a 34-year-old female patient diagnosed with right-side colon cancer. This surgery, a robotic right extended hemicolectomy, showcased the system’s precision and minimal invasiveness, with the patient recovering quickly and being discharged on the same day. The robotic system’s enhanced range of motion, greater magnification, and ergonomic benefits for the surgeon all contribute to a more efficient and comfortable experience for both doctors and patients.

Dr. Dileep Mane emphasized that the installation of this robotic system aligns with the hospital’s vision of continuous improvement, integrating state-of-the-art technologies to improve patient care. This innovation follows the hospital’s earlier achievements, including becoming the first hospital in Pune to receive the JCI Golden Seal and establishing a Human Milk Bank.

With this move, Noble Hospitals is poised to set new standards in patient care, reinforcing its commitment to adopting advanced technologies to improve surgical outcomes and patient recovery. The SSI Mantra 3 Robotic System represents a major milestone in India’s growing capacity to develop and implement world-class medical technology.
