The makers of the much-anticipated Tamil-Telugu historical drama ‘Draupathi 2’ unveiled a making video of the film, bringing joy to fans and movie enthusiasts. Director Mohan G Kshatriyan shared the video on social media, highlighting the year-long planning and intense 31-day shoot for the movie. Scheduled for release on January 23, the film showcases behind-the-scenes efforts, including lead actor Richard Rishi’s sword training and action sequences featuring cannons.
The film, originally set for January 15, will now premiere on January 23, coinciding with the birthday of National leader Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Produced by Netaji Productions and G. M Film Corporation, ‘Draupathi 2’ has generated significant excitement among audiences. Set in the 14th century, the movie narrates the story against the backdrop of Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III’s reign, the bravery of the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam, and the upheavals caused by the Mughal invasion of Tamil Nadu.
In addition to Richard Rishi and Rakshana Induchoodan, the film stars Natti Natraj in a pivotal role. Notable actors like Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, and Saravana Subbiah, among others, contribute to the historical grandeur of the film. With Telugu dialogues by Samrat and music by Ghibran Vaibodha, ‘Draupathi 2’ boasts a strong technical team. The cinematography is handled by Philip R. Sundar, choreography by Thanika Tony, and stunts by Action Santosh, enhancing the film’s visual and narrative impact.
