Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee praised candidates from West Bengal who passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2025. She highlighted that girls secured nearly half of the top positions. Banerjee expressed joy over the success of government-trained candidates and mentioned the significant achievement of girls in securing top ranks.
Her government provided subsidized coaching to the successful candidates. Banerjee extended congratulations and good wishes to the candidates, their families, and teachers. She emphasized the support offered by the Satyendra Nath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre, expressing pride in its contribution to the candidates’ success.
A total of 11 candidates from the study center secured positions in the final merit list of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, with almost half of them being girls. Notable achievers like Diksha Rai, Akash Kumar Rai, and others received coaching from the state government and achieved commendable ranks. These successful candidates are likely to join prestigious services like IAS and IPS.
Banerjee also mentioned that candidates from West Bengal excelled in the all-India examination and are anticipated to enter top services. She highlighted the role of encouragement and support in inspiring the youth to aim for national competitive exams. The Chief Minister applauded the achievements of the candidates, stating that the Government of West Bengal stands by them in their journey towards success.
