West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for staying silent during his recent election rally in Cooch Behar district where Pakistan’s Defence Minister threatened to strike Kolkata if India conducted any false-flag operation. Banerjee questioned why Modi did not address this issue or promise action against Pakistan.
Banerjee, speaking at an election rally in Nadia district, demanded an investigation into the matter and expressed refusal to accept threats against Kolkata. She also cautioned Trinamool Congress workers against being misled by early rumors on the counting day, urging them to stay vigilant until the final results are declared.
During her speech, Banerjee targeted the Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), opposing the frisking of women and emphasizing the importance of voting without any hindrances. She called on women to resist any attempts to obstruct genuine voters from reaching polling stations.
Furthermore, Banerjee alleged the influx of money and narcotics into West Bengal from other states before the Assembly polls, claiming to possess evidence to support her claims. She vowed to release incriminating videos at an appropriate time.
