West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during an election rally, labeling them a “factory of outsiders” with no place in the state. She accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of targeting Bengalis in BJP-ruled states by branding them as ‘infiltrators’. Banerjee emphasized that Bengalis are being persecuted in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan for speaking Bengali.
She also took a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah for allegedly using central probe agencies against the Trinamool Congress. Banerjee accused Shah of intimidating people through agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Despite these challenges, she asserted that the BJP’s attempts to weaken her would only make her stronger.
Earlier, Banerjee accused the BJP-led Union government of removing over 90 lakh names from West Bengal’s voter lists to gain power. She vowed to fight against this move and ensure the reinstatement of all affected voters through legal means. The Chief Minister reaffirmed her determination to win the upcoming election despite the obstacles faced.
