Notably, the rally at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul drew a massive crowd, estimated at over 200,000 participants.
Protesters marched, voiced slogans, and displayed signs criticizing the Trump administration, especially its immigration enforcement actions and involvement in the Iran conflict. Demonstrators in different cities lined major streets and congregated in public squares, brandishing placards and chanting collectively. In Los Angeles, hundreds marched through city streets after assembling outside City Hall, while in Houston, demonstrators paraded a giant replica of the US Constitution through downtown, symbolizing a defense of democratic values. Some demonstrations featured performances, speeches, and symbolic gestures like carrying replicas of the US Constitution. Representative John Larson emphasized the absence of kings in America, cautioning against what he termed a “dangerous misuse of power” and stressing the importance of unity and speaking out.
Senator Kristin Gillibrand highlighted the need for governmental focus on issues like reducing grocery prices, ensuring affordable healthcare, and promoting economic progress for all families.
