Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati has categorically dismissed any possibility of forming an alliance for the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. She denounced ongoing speculations as false and politically driven, affirming that the BSP will contest independently with the goal of securing a majority government. Mayawati clarified during a media address that reports suggesting alliance discussions are misleading and baseless.
Referring to a significant rally held in Lucknow on October 9, 2025, commemorating the party’s founder Kanshi Ram, Mayawati emphasized that the BSP had clearly stated its stance against electoral partnerships. Despite this, she accused opposition parties of spreading rumors to undermine the BSP as part of an orchestrated campaign. Mayawati criticized the Congress, Samajwadi Party, and BJP, stating that their policies diverge from Babasaheb Ambedkar’s ideology, and any alliances with them are purely opportunistic.
Mayawati highlighted that previous alliances had a negative impact on the BSP and emphasized that under “Mission 2027,” the party is focused on strengthening itself independently. Addressing the controversy surrounding the allocation of a Type-8 bungalow in Delhi, she explained that the residence was provided due to security concerns following a past incident. Mayawati underscored that the new accommodation was allocated in exchange for a previously assigned bungalow and condemned attempts to politicize the issue.
As the elections approach, Mayawati cautioned that rival parties would resort to various strategies to undermine the BSP and urged party members to disregard rumors and concentrate on grassroots mobilization to replicate the party’s 2007 electoral success. Stressing the importance of commitment, she called on party workers to uphold Ambedkar’s ideology and advance the movement.
