Mercedes-Benz India has announced its highest-ever annual sales, with 19,363 units sold in the fiscal year 2025-26, marking a 2.29% increase from the previous year. The company also experienced a 7.45% growth in the January-March 2026 quarter, selling 5,131 units compared to the same period last year.
The growth was attributed to strong demand in the top-end and core luxury segments, supported by a robust product portfolio, network enhancements, and a focus on customer experience. The top-end luxury segment, which includes models like the S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach range, saw a significant increase in sales, contributing to 27% of the total sales.
Mercedes-Benz India’s ‘core’ segment, featuring models such as the C-Class and E-Class LWB sedans, also played a significant role in driving overall sales volumes. Despite a decline in the Entry Luxury segment due to heightened competition, the company remains committed to offering feature-rich products aligned with its brand positioning.
Electric vehicles gained traction, with battery electric vehicles accounting for 20% of the top-end luxury sales. Sales of high-end electric vehicles priced above Rs 1.4 crore surged by 85% during the year. The company is set to introduce the CLA electric vehicle in April, marking the debut of its next-generation software-defined vehicles in India.
In terms of expansion, Mercedes-Benz India plans to open over 20 new luxury outlets in 2026 under its ‘Go to Customer’ strategy. This includes entering new markets like Visakhapatnam and Varanasi while strengthening its presence in existing markets. Franchise partners are set to invest over Rs 450 crore in the next two years to enhance customer experience through advanced technologies.
