An all-girls team from Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Nagpur has clinched the “Best Negotiation Advocacy” Award at the IBA-VIAC CDRC Mediation and Negotiation Competition 2024. The event, held in Vienna, Austria, from July 5 to 10, saw participation from 42 university teams globally.

The winning team consisted of Meenal Maheshwari and Aparimita Tiwari from the 5th year B.A.LLB (Hons.) program, and Yukta Chordia and Chinmayi Patil from the 4th year B.A.LLB (Hons.) program. Their exceptional skills in negotiation advocacy set them apart, bringing international acclaim to MNLU Nagpur.

Previously, the team had demonstrated their capabilities by securing 5th place, Best Mediation Plan, and the Cultural Award at the ICC Asia Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition 2023. Their ongoing success highlights their consistent performance and excellence.

The team’s achievements were greatly supported by their coach, Pascal Comvalius, whose expert guidance and strategic advice played a crucial role. The students expressed their appreciation for his mentorship throughout the competition.

The IBA-VIAC CDRC Mediation & Negotiation Competition is a key global event that focuses on international commercial mediation and negotiation. It includes moot competitions, workshops, and networking opportunities for participants. This year’s event featured 28 negotiation teams and 14 mediator teams.

MNLU Nagpur’s latest win underscores its commitment to global legal education and preparing students for international legal challenges.
