Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh shared the Best Actress award. Menen received the honor for her role in Thiruchitrambalam, expressing how special the recognition felt, while Parekh was awarded for her work in Kutch Express, a Gujarati film she believed would prove the strength of female-centric cinema.

The Dadasaheb Phalke Award, one of the most prestigious honors in Indian cinema, was presented to veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty for his lifetime contribution to the industry. Manoj Bajpayee, known for his exceptional talent, earned a Special Mention for his role in Gulmohar, marking his fourth National Film Award. Music maestro AR Rahman was also recognized, further solidifying his legendary status in the industry.
