The Leader of Opposition, Naveen Patnaik, took part in Odisha’s Digital Census self-enumeration process starting on April 1. Patnaik encouraged citizens to engage in the Census 2027 initiative for a prosperous future for the state. Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and other dignitaries also registered their details on the Census 2027 self-enumeration portal.
The Census program in Odisha is a collaborative effort with the Directorate of Census Operations, Odisha, and the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. The House Listing and Housing Census phase is set to kick off on April 16. Trained enumerators and supervisors will gather data from households between April 16 and May 15. Prior to this, the self-enumeration program is ongoing until midnight on April 15.
Citizens are actively participating in the self-enumeration process by submitting their information on the dedicated portal. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the importance of citizen cooperation for the success of Census 2027. He urged everyone to complete their self-enumeration and support the upcoming door-to-door survey for effective planning and development initiatives.
