Navjot Kaur Sidhu has introduced a new political entity, the Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Party, following her expulsion from the Indian National Congress due to alleged anti-party actions. This move, announced recently, is significant as it precedes the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, hinting at a fresh player in the state’s political arena.
The formation of the Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Party was revealed by Navjot Kaur Sidhu through a shared photo where the party’s name was prominently displayed. She emphasized that this initiative, long in the making, aims to provide a new national-level alternative based on a thorough assessment of current political performances.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu expressed her vision for the new party, focusing on restoring Punjab’s historical eminence and principles. She emphasized the goal of leading Punjab back to its former glory as a state known for values like love, justice, liberty, and selfless service, free from external influences, with a government truly by and for the people.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who previously held the Amritsar East Assembly seat on a BJP ticket, left the party due to dissatisfaction with the BJP-SAD alliance. She later joined the Congress but criticized its leadership, alleging undemocratic practices. Her outspoken stance and criticisms have highlighted her political journey and aspirations for Punjab’s future.
