NCP SP legislator Rohit Pawar expressed doubts regarding the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) report on the Baramati plane crash that claimed the lives of former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and four others. Pawar suggested possible sabotage rather than a mere accident, citing discrepancies in the preliminary report. Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam emphasized the need for a thorough investigation before drawing conclusions from the preliminary findings.
Rohit Pawar has been advocating for a high-level criminal probe into the tragic plane crash that took Ajit Pawar’s life. Alleging a conspiracy, he met with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray to demand legal action against the aviation company involved in the incident. The crash, which occurred during a second landing attempt in Baramati on January 28, 2026, is currently under investigation by the CBI and CID.
Rohit Pawar, in his pursuit of justice, submitted a dossier of research papers and technical documents to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, seeking transparency and a comprehensive investigation into the matter. He stressed the importance of a thorough and impartial inquiry to uncover the truth behind the tragic event. Pawar’s efforts aim to ensure accountability and clarity in the investigation process.
