Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Seva Teerth complex, which includes the Prime Minister’s Office, National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat. This new state-of-the-art complex is located on Kartavya Path, formerly known as Rajpath, and is a significant milestone in India’s administrative governance architecture. The complex aims to bring the entire administrative machinery in proximity for more efficient governance.
The Seva Teerth complex features digitally integrated offices, structured public interface zones, and centralised reception facilities. It is designed in accordance with 4-Star GRIHA standards, incorporating renewable energy systems, water conservation measures, waste management solutions, and high-performance building envelopes. The inauguration signifies a commitment to building a modern, efficient, accessible, and citizen-centric governance ecosystem.
The new complex will house high-profile ministries like Finance, Defence, Health & Family Welfare, and Education. It resolves long-pending issues of scattered ministries operating from ageing buildings across the Central Vista, enhancing collaboration, efficiency, and citizen engagement. The modern infrastructure includes safety and security frameworks such as smart access control systems and surveillance networks for a secure environment.
