Amelia’s outstanding performances against Zimbabwe and South Africa have put her in the running for her third ICC Player of the Month title. Beth showcased her consistency in batting against India and West Indies, while Ayabonga excelled by leading the wicket charts in South Africa’s T20I series in New Zealand and delivering a career-best performance in their opening ODI game.
Amelia’s remarkable stats include scoring 176 runs at a strike-rate of 78.57 in four ODIs in March and taking 18 wickets with an economy rate of 3.77. She was pivotal in New Zealand’s 3-0 ODI series win against Zimbabwe, where she claimed 7-34 in the second match. In T20Is, she scored 276 runs at a strike-rate of 158.62 and took six wickets, maintaining a streak of 11 consecutive scores of 30 or more. Beth, on the other hand, contributed significantly with 171 runs in two ODIs and 107 runs in three T20Is, including a match-winning 79 off 55 deliveries against the West Indies.
Ayabonga’s standout performances involved being the leading wicket-taker in South Africa’s T20I series in New Zealand, securing eight wickets in four matches. She continued her form by picking 6-56 in the first ODI against New Zealand, aiding South Africa in a thrilling victory.
