A Dazzling New Cultural Landmark in Mumbai

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), situated in the heart of Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, is redefining India’s artistic landscape. Unveiled to the public with grandeur, the centre is an architectural and cultural marvel, showcasing India’s deep-rooted traditions alongside contemporary global art forms.

A Vision Brought to Life

Spanning an impressive 450,000 square feet, NMACC is not just a building—it’s a movement. Created with a mission to make art accessible to all and to spotlight India’s cultural brilliance on the global stage, the centre features multiple world-class venues designed to accommodate a range of performing and visual arts.

Inside the Cultural Powerhouse

The Grand Theatre

A 2,000-seat auditorium equipped with cutting-edge sound and visual systems. Its standout feature? A ceiling adorned with over 8,400 Swarovski crystals that provide a celestial backdrop to every performance.

The Studio Theatre

A flexible 250-seat venue, ideal for intimate plays, poetry recitals, and storytelling events, giving artists the creative freedom to innovate.

The Cube

A 125-seat black box theatre tailored for experimental performances and new-age storytelling, offering an up-close experience for viewers.

The Art House

A museum-grade four-story art gallery that celebrates both established and emerging talent, with exhibits ranging from traditional Indian art to global contemporary works.

Inclusive, Educational, and Forward-Thinking

Accessibility is at the heart of the centre’s ethos. Entry is free for students, senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, and children. Beyond performances and exhibitions, the centre conducts art education programs, school and college visits, and inclusive art literacy campaigns aimed at nurturing creativity from the grassroots.

Celebrated Launch, Global Vision

The inauguration was a spectacle, attended by global icons from cinema, fashion, and art. The opening events included The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation, a majestic stage production tracing India’s cultural timeline, and India in Fashion, a vibrant exhibition showcasing India’s textile heritage and its global influence.

Since its launch, NMACC has hosted over 700 events, welcomed over a million visitors, and collaborated with more than 670 artists—rapidly becoming the heart of India’s cultural scene.

Expanding Horizons

Looking beyond borders, NMACC will soon take Indian artistry to the world. In September 2025, it will host a grand cultural weekend at New York’s Lincoln Center, featuring performances, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges, furthering its mission to take Indian art global.
