North Korea launched multiple short-range ballistic missiles towards the East Sea, as confirmed by South Korea’s military. The missiles were detected originating from the Wonsan area in the North and flew approximately 240 kilometers, marking the fourth ballistic missile launch by North Korea this year.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that South Korea and the US are closely monitoring North Korea’s activities and are prepared to respond to any provocation. South Korean and US intelligence agencies have been tracking the launch movements and sharing relevant information.

This missile launch followed a previous unidentified projectile launch from Pyongyang, which is currently under analysis. The consecutive launches occurred after President Lee expressed regret over drone flights into North Korea, emphasizing the need to avoid escalating military tensions.
