In a significant development within Rajasthan’s “Drug-Free Rajasthan” initiative, Pali Police apprehended three suspected smugglers and confiscated 74.13 grams of the illicit synthetic drug MD. The arrest was made following precise technical intelligence provided by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) in Jaipur.
Superintendent of Police Monika Sen of Pali revealed that a joint operation by Siriyari and Marwar Junction police stations, based on intelligence from ASI Rakesh Jakhar of the AGTF, led to the arrests. The team, under the leadership of the Siriyari SHO, conducted a planned raid in Bithoda Kalan village early Saturday morning.
During the raid at the residence of a key suspect named Sher Khan, three individuals were apprehended from a rooftop room, and 74.13 grams of MD were discovered hidden beneath a sofa. Additionally, the police seized equipment used for drug preparation and packaging, including electronic weighing scales, empty pouches, and mobile phones.
The arrested individuals, identified as Sher Khan (25), Rahul Meena (20), and Ajay alias Ravi (23), have confessed to sourcing the narcotics from two suppliers, Laxman Wadi and Motisingh Rajput, both residents of Bithoda Kalan. A case has been filed against the accused under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suppliers.
