Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, known as Pappu Yadav, visited Nalanda to meet the family of a woman who was allegedly molested and assaulted, causing widespread outrage. The incident occurred in Dhibarapar village under the Noorsarai police station area, leading to a tense atmosphere in the region. A group of miscreants reportedly molested and attempted to sexually assault the woman on March 26.
Describing the incident as deeply shameful and disturbing, Pappu Yadav expressed solidarity with the victim’s family and provided financial assistance of Rs 50,000. He emphasized the need for swift and strict action against the accused, calling for a speedy trial and exemplary punishment. Pappu Yadav highlighted the importance of societal accountability in such cases and urged for collective efforts to ensure justice.
The assault incident has reignited concerns about women’s safety, accountability, and societal attitudes. Pappu Yadav’s visit aimed to offer support and condolences to the bereaved family of JD(U) MLA Vibha Devi in Nawada district. He expressed sympathies over the untimely demise of their son, Akhilesh Kumar Yadav, who tragically passed away in a road accident on March 19.
