The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Kavaratti, has released the final Photo Electoral Rolls for 2026 in Lakshadweep. This follows a Special Intensive Revision directed by the Election Commission of India, conducted from December 16, 2025, to February 14, 2026, with January 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.
The total electorate in Lakshadweep now amounts to 57,607 voters, consisting of 29,222 male voters and 28,385 female voters. Notably, there are no registered voters in the third gender category. Among the voters, 1,268 fall within the 18-19 age group, indicating new enrollments among first-time voters.
The final electoral rolls have been exhibited at all polling stations in the Union Territory and will be open for public viewing at the offices of the Electoral Registration Officer and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers for seven days from February 14. Additionally, the rolls can be accessed online via the CEO’s official website.
First-time voters aged 18-19 who have not yet received their Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) and existing electors who have requested corrections post-migration will obtain their EPICs through Booth Level Officers at their residences. Citizens eligible to vote, who turned 18 on January 1, 2026, or will reach 18 on specific dates in 2026, can apply online through the ECI portal or mobile app, or offline via the concerned Booth Level Officer.
Individuals dissatisfied with decisions made by the Electoral Registration Officer can appeal to the District Magistrate, with a subsequent appeal process available before the Chief Electoral Officer under the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
