Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at an NDA rally in Tiruvalla, criticized Kerala’s major political alliances, alleging a covert agreement between the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF). He claimed that despite projecting themselves as rivals in Kerala, both fronts collaborate outside the state, particularly in targeting the BJP. PM Modi accused them of attacking the BJP not out of competition but out of apprehension, insinuating a hidden understanding between the two factions.
Highlighting concerns about law and order and communal harmony, PM Modi accused the LDF and UDF of nurturing divisive elements for political gains, citing the situation in Munambam as an illustration. He also criticized their management of the Sabarimala temple issue, alleging negligence and irregularities, and asserted that both administrations had failed to uphold the shrine’s sanctity. Additionally, the Prime Minister accused the Congress and the Left of spreading misinformation on national issues like the Citizenship Amendment Act and foreign funding regulations under the FCRA, labeling it a habitual propagation of falsehoods.
PM Modi emphasized the NDA as an alternative, promising a new development model rooted in Kerala’s cultural heritage. He pledged to achieve in five years what had not been accomplished in five decades, offering it as “Modi’s guarantee.” Concluding his address with Easter and Vishu greetings, PM Modi praised the beauty of the Malayalam language, acknowledging the audience’s attentiveness despite delivering his speech in Hindi.
