He highlighted India’s strong ties with West Asian nations and urged for responsible behavior from political leaders, especially in times of geopolitical uncertainty. Modi reassured families in Kerala, acknowledging the state’s reliance on remittances from abroad and affirming continuous efforts to ensure the safety of Indian expatriates.
With Kerala’s economy heavily dependent on Gulf remittances, PM Modi underscored the government’s proactive measures to safeguard Indians in the region. He portrayed the Centre as responsive and committed to protecting the interests of those working abroad, contrasting it with the Congress’ stance on the issue. Approximately 2.5 million Keralaites are employed in Middle-Eastern countries.
