After conducting three large campaign rallies in different districts of West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in a grand road show in Bagdogra near Siliguri in Darjeeling district. The road show attracted thousands of locals who cheered and chanted slogans in support of Modi and “Jai Shree Ram.” Initially seated beside the driver, Modi later leaned out of the vehicle window, waving at the crowd holding BJP’s symbol, the Lotus.
The direct interaction of the Prime Minister with the crowd further heightened their enthusiasm, leading to louder chants and cheers. Raju Bista, BJP’s two-time Lok Sabha member from Darjeeling, shared a video of the road show on social media, emphasizing the immense popularity of PM Modi as a global leader. He described Modi as a guardian figure, especially in regions like Darjeeling hills, the Terai, and the Dooars.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi addressed campaign rallies in Katwa, Jangipur, and Kushmandi districts. The West Bengal Assembly polls are scheduled for April 23 and April 29, with results expected on May 4.
