Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent warm wishes to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on the party’s Foundation Day, highlighting their dedication to public service and the principle of “India First.” The BJP, established in 1980 after splitting from the Janata Party, traces its roots back to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh founded in 1951 by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Over the years, it has evolved into one of India’s prominent national parties, focusing on cultural nationalism and development.
PM Modi, in a message on social media, praised the BJP workers nationwide on the occasion of the party’s Foundation Day. He commended their selfless service, unwavering commitment, and strong enthusiasm for good governance. The Prime Minister acknowledged the pivotal role played by the workers in shaping the party’s growth through their dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Shah credited the establishment of the BJP to the nationalist ideologies of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, viewing it as a pledge for national reconstruction.
