Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Palakkad, Kerala, to bolster the BJP-led NDA’s efforts for the upcoming 2026 Kerala Assembly elections. Addressing a rally at Kotta Maidan, PM Modi highlighted the increasing support the BJP and NDA were garnering from various sections of Kerala society, including youth, women, and farmers. He emphasized the alliance’s growing acceptance, attributing it to the people’s blessings, party workers’ dedication, and their grassroots efforts.

PM Modi positioned the NDA as a new alternative in a state historically dominated by the LDF and UDF coalitions. He criticized the existing political scenario in Kerala, accusing the LDF and UDF of promoting “selfish politics” that hindered the state’s progress. PM Modi stressed the need for a fresh political approach, underlining his vision for governance and promising to transform Kerala into a developed state focused on growth and opportunities for future generations.

During his visit, PM Modi underscored the NDA’s message of moving beyond traditional bipolar politics in Kerala. He arrived in Palakkad, conducted a roadshow in the town, and addressed a large gathering at Kotta Maidan. The Prime Minister’s speech aimed to reinforce the NDA’s narrative of ushering in a new era of politics in the state, emphasizing development and progress.

Senior BJP and NDA leaders joined PM Modi at the event in Palakkad. Following the rally, he proceeded to Thrissur for further election-related engagements, continuing the NDA’s outreach efforts in Kerala.
