Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up to enhance the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) campaign in the South with a two-day tour to Chennai and Puducherry on April 3 and 4. He is expected to land at Chennai International Airport on the afternoon of April 3 and then head to Puducherry for a public rally in the evening.
The visit aims to garner support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies before the upcoming elections in Puducherry. Security measures are being tightened by local police and security agencies for the Prime Minister’s visit, with elaborate arrangements in place across key locations to ensure safety and smooth proceedings.
On April 4, PM Modi is scheduled to engage with party functionaries, grassroots organizers, and stakeholders in Chennai. The closed-door meeting will focus on enhancing booth-level mobilization and refining campaign strategies as the polling date in Tamil Nadu nears.
Later that day, the Prime Minister will participate in an election campaign in Mylapore to support the NDA candidate, with a potential roadshow in areas like T. Nagar under consideration. This visit is crucial for the BJP to strengthen its presence in Tamil Nadu and reinforce its campaign in Puducherry, energizing party workers and increasing visibility in the final phase of campaigning.
