Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kerala on Saturday in support of the National Democratic Alliance’s campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections on April 9. The visit aims to boost morale among party workers and enhance the alliance’s presence in crucial constituencies in the state.
During his visit, PM Modi will kick off his engagements with a public meeting in Thiruvalla, situated in Pathanamthitta district. This event is anticipated to draw a large crowd, including senior party officials and NDA candidates from nearby areas, to bolster voter backing in central Kerala. The Prime Minister will then proceed to the NSS College grounds in Changanassery, Kottayam district, before heading to Thiruvalla by road.
Later in the day, PM Modi is set to travel to Thiruvananthapuram, where he will partake in a roadshow spanning approximately 1.5 kilometers, from Killipalam Junction to Karamana. The roadshow is expected to witness significant participation from party members, supporters, and the public. Notably, senior BJP leaders like Rajeev Chandrasekhar and V. Muraleedharan will accompany the Prime Minister during various segments of the visit.
In a previous engagement, PM Modi conducted a high-profile roadshow in Puducherry on Friday, intensifying the NDA campaign in the region. The NDA coalition in Puducherry, comprising the BJP, the All India NR Congress led by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, the AIADMK, and other regional allies, is striving to strengthen its position in the forthcoming polls. PM Modi’s visit underscores the BJP’s focus on the electoral battle in the Union Territory.
