Asset details of PMK candidate Sowmiya Anbumani, contesting from the Dharmapuri Assembly constituency, have been disclosed after filing her nomination papers for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Anbumani’s total assets amount to Rs 65.94 crore, encompassing movable and immovable properties, making her one of the wealthier candidates in the upcoming polls. She is the wife of Anbumani Ramadoss, former Union Minister and president of the PMK, part of the AIADMK-led NDA in Tamil Nadu.
Breaking down her assets, the affidavit reveals movable assets worth Rs 17 crore and immovable assets valued at Rs 48 crore. Anbumani owns gold ornaments weighing 2,927 grams valued at Rs 4.26 crore, 151.51 carats of diamonds worth around Rs 1.64 crore, and cash amounting to Rs 2.25 lakh. Speaking after filing her nomination, she expressed confidence in her electoral prospects, citing the overwhelming support from the people of Dharmapuri.
The PMK is contesting in 18 constituencies as part of the alliance for the 2026 Assembly elections.
