Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder Dr. S. Ramadoss hinted at a potential collaboration with a Dravidian party for the upcoming elections. The final decision regarding this alliance is expected to be revealed by Saturday. Ramadoss mentioned ongoing internal discussions within the party during a press interaction in Thailapuram, Villupuram district.
A meeting has been scheduled with district secretaries and state-level officials to deliberate on the party’s electoral strategies and future plans. Seeking input from party members, Ramadoss emphasized the importance of their opinions in shaping the party’s approach to the elections and determining the suitable strategies to be adopted.
Recent differences between Ramadoss and party president Anbumani Ramadoss regarding alliance preferences have surfaced within the PMK. While Anbumani has aligned with the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Ramadoss’s statements have sparked speculations about a potential shift in the party’s political trajectory. Ramadoss clarified that it is premature to make an alliance decision at present, but when asked about aligning with a Dravidian party, he confirmed the likelihood of such a collaboration.
