A political clash in Gujarat intensified as the state’s BJP dismissed accusations from AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, terming them an attempt to mislead before local elections. State BJP spokesperson Dhaval Patel labeled the letter from Delhi leaders as a failed effort to confuse the public. Kejriwal alleged a crackdown on AAP workers in Gujarat, with over 160 arrests and 145 FIRs filed recently.
Responding to the claims, Patel criticized the letters as a tactic to create a false narrative as elections near. He highlighted that 242 individuals linked to AAP faced serious charges in Gujarat between 2025 and 2026. Patel also accused the party of engaging in political drama during elections in various states, questioning their tactics and victim card strategy.
The BJP spokesperson further alleged that the opposition party had a history of attacking BJP offices and violating laws. He emphasized that the people of Gujarat have trusted the BJP’s development-focused politics for three decades. Patel predicted a significant win for the BJP in the upcoming local body elections, suggesting a potential defeat for the opposition.
