The political dispute escalated as the AIMIM terminated its partnership with the AJUP, sparking a heated exchange of accusations among leaders from various parties. Congress MP Pramod Tiwari criticized the BJP, alleging that recent revelations had exposed their divisive tactics and alliances. Tiwari specifically pointed fingers at Asaduddin Owaisi for allegedly aiding the BJP through his actions.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut echoed Tiwari’s sentiments, suggesting that the split would play into the BJP’s hands. Raut urged for opposition unity against the BJP, emphasizing the need to thwart any moves that could benefit the ruling party. Samajwadi Party spokesperson Udaiveer Singh also joined the criticism, condemning the government for allegedly undermining democratic values.
On the other side, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh dismissed the controversy surrounding AJUP chief Humayun Kabir, questioning the credibility of the allegations. Ghosh downplayed the significance of the accusations, emphasizing Kabir’s lack of political influence. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC criticized AIMIM and the Trinamool Congress for what she termed as “appeasement politics.”
In response to the allegations, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Deo refuted the claims and hinted at potential technological manipulation. Deo insinuated a connection between Humayun Kabir and Mamata Banerjee, suggesting ulterior motives behind the viral video. The BJP vowed to take legal action against what they deemed as baseless accusations.
The controversy erupted following AIMIM’s decision to sever ties with AJUP after a video implicating Kabir in questionable dealings surfaced. This development has reignited political tensions ahead of upcoming elections, with opposition parties accusing Owaisi of indirectly supporting the BJP, a claim that the ruling party has vehemently denied.
