The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) noted the cordial welcome in a post on X, highlighting the presence of McClay and High Commissioner Neeta Bhushan in Auckland. McClay expressed his honor in welcoming President Murmu, emphasizing the visit’s significance in deepening bilateral relationships and strengthening cultural connections.

In Auckland, President Murmu will also attend a community reception, reflecting the strong people-to-people ties between India and New Zealand.
