The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) has introduced its new official logo for the upcoming fifth season, set to commence in January 2026. The league, approved by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), is making a comeback after a seven-year break. The event will showcase top Indian and international wrestlers, offering intense competition within a sustainable framework to boost the sport’s development.
The fresh logo, inspired by the traditional red-and-blue wrestling mat, embodies strength, balance, and a competitive spirit. It signifies a complete overhaul for the Pro Wrestling League under new ownership and management, focusing on a modern and dynamic approach.
PWL’s revamped objective is to establish a premier professional platform for wrestlers by connecting grassroots akhadas with the global competitive arena. The league aims to provide structured opportunities, international exposure, and a professionally managed setting for athletes, contributing to the advancement and credibility of wrestling in India.
This renewed vision is being executed in partnership with the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) to ensure compliance with national regulations and governance standards. The collaboration aims to enhance the pathway for emerging wrestlers to transition from traditional training setups to national and international prominence.
Under the leadership of ONO Media, helmed by Akhil Gupta and Dayaan Farooqui, the league has shifted towards a transparent, athlete-centric ecosystem emphasizing professionalism, integrity, and long-term sustainability in Indian wrestling.
Akhil Gupta, CEO of Pro Wrestling League, emphasized that the new logo mirrors the league’s future vision of being modern, aggressive, and world-class. It signifies a fresh start, focusing on transparency, professionalism, and enduring dedication to the sport and its athletes. Dayaan Farooqui, Chairman of Pro Wrestling League, highlighted that the logo symbolizes trust, opportunity, and ambition, signifying a new chapter for the league post its seven-year hiatus.
With its rebranded identity and restructured framework, PWL aims to usher in a new era for professional wrestling in India.
