Punjab Kings have won the toss and decided to bowl first against the Gujarat Titans in the fourth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the PCA New International Cricket Stadium. Punjab Kings’ captain Shreyas Iyer, after winning the toss, expressed his preference to bowl first, emphasizing the advantage of chasing to understand the target better. He highlighted the need for the team to focus on the present and deliver their best cricket performance, introducing new overseas players Cooper, Stoinis, Bartlett, and Marco Jansen.
Contrastingly, Gujarat Titans’ skipper Shubman Gill, after losing the toss, mentioned the favorable batting conditions on the pitch due to recent rain. Gill acknowledged the team’s strong performance in the previous season and introduced debutants Glenn and Ashok Sharma, along with experienced players Jos, Glenn, Rashid, and Rabada. Both teams have a history of competitive matches, with Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans having won three encounters each in their IPL clashes.
