Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma revealed significant plans during the Assembly session, including the renaming of Mount Abu to Aburaj, Jahazpur to Yagyapur, and Kaman to Kamvan to uphold their historical significance. Additionally, a 36-kilometre elevated road along the Dravyavati River is in the works to alleviate traffic congestion in Jaipur. This project is expected to enhance urban mobility in the state capital.
To enhance public transportation, the Chief Minister disclosed plans to procure 300 new buses for the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC). This move aims to improve connectivity between rural and urban areas, ensuring better accessibility and comfort for passengers. Furthermore, the government intends to modernize and expand transport services statewide.
Sharma also announced the filling of 1.25 lakh new government positions and the implementation of a new recruitment calendar. Under the VB-G-RAM-G employment scheme, workers will now receive weekly wage payments, with the employment duration extended to 125 days. The scheme, requiring an estimated Rs 4,000 crore expenditure from the state treasury, aims to enhance employment opportunities and ensure timely compensation for workers.
Moreover, a significant development includes the establishment of a Skill Development Centre in Pachpadra to provide industry-specific training for local youth. This initiative aligns with the industrial growth in the region, focusing on sectors like petrochemicals and refining. The Centre aims to equip the youth with modern technical skills, enhancing their employability and fostering regional industrial progress.
