Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, during discussions on the Finance and Appropriation Bill in the state Assembly, emphasized the state’s rapid economic advancement. He credited this growth to public welfare policies and significant economic reforms implemented by his government.
Sharma stressed that the government’s focus is on solutions and development rather than conflict. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, Rajasthan is steadily moving towards becoming a developed state through innovation, reforms, and continuous endeavors.
The Chief Minister highlighted Rajasthan’s crucial role as a growth engine in realizing the vision of a developed India by 2047. He mentioned that the state’s per capita income is projected to exceed Rs 2 lakh in 2026-27, a substantial increase from the previous years, showcasing progress across various sectors.
The state’s total budget for 2026-27 is estimated at Rs 6,10,956 crore, marking a significant rise compared to previous years. The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is also expected to witness substantial growth, reflecting the state’s economic momentum and positive trajectory.
Chief Minister Sharma underscored the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, with a notable increase in capital expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year. The state’s fiscal deficit has been prudently managed, reflecting a strategic approach towards financial stability and growth.
