Rajasthan recently underwent a significant bureaucratic overhaul, transferring 65 IAS officers in a comprehensive move. Notably, Tina Dabi has been appointed as the District Collector and District Magistrate of Tonk, her third such role, showcasing the government’s trust in her capabilities. Known for her impactful initiatives in maternal health and grassroots governance, Dabi’s experience is expected to benefit the politically sensitive Tonk district.
Meanwhile, Ria Dabi has been assigned as Officer on Special Duty in the Chief Minister’s Office, transitioning from her previous role as a Sub-Divisional Officer. Her new responsibilities involve coordinating policy matters and administrative decisions at the state level, marking a progression in her administrative career. The reshuffle also encompassed changes in 25 district Collectors and key positions in the Chief Minister’s Office, signaling a broader administrative realignment.
The restructuring includes the appointment of Jitendra Kumar Soni as Secretary to the Chief Minister, with an additional role as Secretary of the Department of Information and Public Relations. Noteworthy changes also involve Sandesh Nayak taking over as the new Collector of Jaipur, Ashish Modi as the Collector of Sikar, and Mukul Sharma as the Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. This strategic mix of experienced and young officers aims to enhance governance effectiveness, with the Dabi sisters’ appointments attracting significant public interest.
