The Rajasthan government is set to kick off its yearly ‘Pravesh Utsav’ (Admission Festival) in all state-run schools starting Wednesday. Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar has urged for a concerted effort statewide to ensure every child is included in the education system. Teachers have been directed to conduct door-to-door campaigns to facilitate new student admissions and encourage parents to enroll their children in government schools.
Emphasizing the importance of public education in Rajasthan, Minister Dilawar highlighted that government schools offer better facilities and affordability compared to private institutions. He pointed out that while private schools have high fees, government schools provide quality education, textbooks, uniforms, meals, laptops, bicycles, and scholarships for free. The Minister also praised the high education levels and professional training of government school teachers, noting ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure.
Minister Dilawar stressed the development of modern school buildings, smart classrooms, and well-equipped labs to match or exceed private school standards. He urged parents in Rajasthan to make use of these facilities by enrolling their children in nearby government schools. The state government remains dedicated to enhancing the public education system’s accessibility and inclusivity, he reiterated.
Speaking at the inauguration of a new building at Government Senior Secondary School in Vati under Badgaon Panchayat Samiti, Udaipur district, Minister Dilawar highlighted the support from the IIFL Foundation, which has adopted 102 schools in the district. The ‘Pravesh Utsav’ initiative aims to increase enrollment and strengthen foundational education as the new academic session commences.
