Anuj Agnihotri from Rajasthan clinched the top spot in the Civil Services Examination 2025, with Rajeshwari Suve M from Tamil Nadu securing the second position. A total of 958 candidates qualified for prestigious services like IAS, IFS, and IPS, as per an official statement released on Friday. Rajeshwari emerged as the highest-ranked woman candidate in this year’s CSE, with two more women making it to the top 10.
Agnihotri hails from Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan and holds an MBBS degree from AIIMS Jodhpur. His academic journey includes completing Class XII from M.B. Public Senior Secondary School in Kota, as per details shared by a civil services exam coaching institute. Before claiming the second position in the CSE, Rajeshwari had previously topped the TMPSC Group 1 as Deputy Collector.
The third position in the exam went to Akansh Dhull from Chandigarh, who comes from a family with a political background. Among the 958 successful candidates, 317 are from the general category, while 104 candidates belong to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 73 from Scheduled Tribes (ST). The final exam results were a combination of scores from the written test conducted in August 2025 and the personality test held between December 2025 and February 2026.
The Government reported a total of 1,087 vacancies to be filled, with appointments to various services to be made based on these vacancies and in compliance with the examination rules. The vacancies include positions in IAS, IFS, IPS, Central Services Group ‘A,’ Group ‘B’ Services, and 42 reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities. Additionally, a consolidated Reserve List of 256 candidates is being maintained by the Commission in accordance with the Civil Services Examination Rules 2025.
