Actor-director Rajat Kapoor, preparing for the release of ‘Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa,’ expressed his attraction to the emotional intensity in the script. The film’s trailer, revealed recently, teases a stylish murder mystery featuring a star-studded cast including Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and others. Kapoor highlighted the depth of the storyline, emphasizing the emotional turmoil preceding physical violence, which extends beyond a typical whodunnit narrative.

At the core of the plot lies Sohrab Handa, portrayed by Vinay Pathak, a sharp-tongued and arrogant character whose presence dominates any setting. Ranvir Shorey noted the film’s nuanced portrayal of characters, each laden with regrets, jealousy, and anger, blurring the lines between heroes and villains. The narrative unfolds during a gathering that transitions from joviality to tension following Sohrab’s mysterious murder, unveiling hidden resentments and moral dilemmas among the attendees.

The film, a collaboration between Applause Entertainment and Mithya Talkies, is slated to premiere on Hindi ZEE5 on April 10, 2026, promising an engaging exploration of complex human emotions and relationships.
