Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commended Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for his significant role in the development of Madhya Pradesh during his tenure as Chief Minister. Speaking at the ‘Unnat Krishi Mahotsav’ in Raisen, Singh highlighted Chouhan’s dedication to the state, emphasizing his hard work and commitment to the agricultural sector.
Singh acknowledged Chouhan’s efforts in strengthening the agricultural base and rural economy of Madhya Pradesh during his multiple terms as Chief Minister. He also praised current Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for continuing and introducing new initiatives to drive further development in the state.
Describing Madhya Pradesh as a land of rich culture and transformation under BJP governance, Singh emphasized farmer-centric policies like PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi and crop insurance that have provided crucial financial support to farmers. He highlighted the impact of direct benefit transfer in eliminating middlemen and enhancing transparency in financial transactions.
