Rakshit Shetty’s 2016 romantic comedy film, “Kirik Party,” has reached its 9th anniversary. The Kannada actor, expressing gratitude, acknowledged the enduring love of the audience for the project over the years. Rakshit, on his Twitter handle, mentioned that the film’s charm remains intact due to the audience’s continued affection even after all these years.
The movie, directed by Rishab Shetty, was produced by Govind Sahai Guptha and Rakshit Shetty under the Paramvah Studios banner. The main cast of the film includes Rakshit, Rashmika Mandanna, Samyuktha Hegde, Achyuth Kumar, Aravinnd Iyer, Dhananjay Ranjan, Chandan Achar, and Pramod Shetty. Notably, Rashmika and Samyuktha made their acting debuts with this film.
“Kirik Party” was conceptualized by a team called “The Seven Odds,” consisting of Rakshit, Rishab Shetty, Abhijith Mahesh, Dhananjay Ranjan, Kiranraj K, and Chandrajith Belliappa. This movie marked Rishab Shetty’s second directorial venture after his 2016 release, “Ricky.”
The storyline of “Kirik Party” revolves around Karna, played by Rakshit, a first-year student at an engineering college. The film delves into the college life of Karna and his friends, including Saanvi, portrayed by Rashmika, who is a final-year student.
In a recent development, Rakshit’s acclaimed 2022 film, “777 Charlie,” received recognition with four Karnataka state awards, including ‘Best Film,’ ‘Best Actor,’ ‘Best Editing,’ and ‘Best Lyricist.’ Rakshit expressed his gratitude on social media, acknowledging the honors and thanking the jury, the audience, and the team behind the success of the film.
