Seattle-based digital financial services provider for immigrants, Remitly, has appointed Indian-American financial analyst Vikas Mehta as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

According to a release, Mehta, who has over 25 years of global experience in the fintech, software, and e-commerce sectors, will oversee financial planning, analysis, procurement, accounting, tax, investor relations, and treasury functions at Remitly.

As an immigrant and a customer of remitly himself, Mehta has a personal connection to the company’s mission. “Joining Remitly feels like a full-circle moment for me,” Vikas shared.

“I have always admired Remitly’s commitment to transforming the way people send money across borders. I am excited to contribute to a company that not only focuses on business growth but also on making a meaningful impact in people’s lives.,” he added.

Before joining Remitly, Mehta served as the CFO of Komodo Health, a healthcare technology and data intelligence company. His career also includes CFO roles at Anaplan and Nike Direct, and leadership positions at Walmart, Microsoft, and PayPal.
